Şadan Fahir, Ragıp Pigar

Poet and writer (b. 1912, Çanakkale – d. 2005, İstanbul). He used the pen names Şadan Fahir and Ragıp Pigar. He studied at İzmir Teacher Training School as a boarder. After 1932 he served as a teacher in the district of Aydın for thirteen years. He worked at the General Directorate of Printed Training Materials and the Publishing Office at the Ministry of National Education between 1945-71. After retirement he managed the reviews Size and Yeni Defne in İstanbul. He had two children.

His articles and poems were published in such reviews as Ülkücü Öğretmen, Pedagoji, Çığır, Çağrı, Varlık, Kadın, Millî Kültür, Erciyes, Türk Edebiyatı, Türk Folklor Araştırmaları, Eğitim Hareketler. He edited some unpublished works of Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil and Refik Halit Karay and articles of  Ziya Gökalp.

POETRY: 9 Eylül (9 September, poetry and prose, 1930), İzmir'den Sesler (Voices from İzmir, with 6 poets and writers from İzmir, 1931).

SHORT STORY-NOVEL: Bu Toprağın Çocukları (Children of This Land, 1944), Sarsılan Topraklar (Shaken Lands, 1944), Bir Yalancının Cezası (Punishment of a Liar, 1945), Kahraman Çocuk (The Hero Kid, 1945), Köye Dönüş (Return to the Village, 1945), Kurtoğlu (Kurtoğlu, 1945), İyilik Perileri (Fairies of Goodness, 1973).

In addition, he compiled many literary works.
