Poet and writer (b. 1928, Aksu / Araç / Kastamonu). He went to primary school in Araç. He graduated from Kastamonu High School (1946), Turkish Military Academy (1950) and National Security Academy (1978). Having positions in different departments of the Gendarmerie Organization as a Gendarmerie Lieutenant, he worked in Zara, Giresun, Keşan, Urfa, Akçakale, Goçar, Devrek, Ankara, Yozgat, Bursa, Emirdağ, Yozgat, Bursa, Sarıkamış, Kars, Karabük and Siirt. In 1984, when he was the Gendarmerie Recruit Drill Commander of Çanakkale, he retired as a general. 

His first poem appeared in 1946, in the periodical Büyük Doğu (The Great East); and in the following years his articles and poems appeared in the newspapers Tercüman, Milliyet and in many reviews such as Varlık, Orkun, Mavi, Özgür, Çağrı, Ajans-Turk, Şiir Defteri, Defne, Size. He administered the art and literature page of the newspaper, Ayyıldız. He is a member of the Professional Association of Scientific and Literary Work Owners of Turkey. In 1964, he was chosen as Poet of the Year by Ajans-Turk

POETRY: Harran Ovasından Mektuplar (Letters from the Harran Plain, 1964), Harran Güzellemesi (Eulogy for Harran, 1993), Çeşitlemeler (Variations, 1996).

SHORT STORY: Kadın Parmağı (Woman’s Finger, 1993), Bıngıldaklı Çayır (The Meadow with Fontanel, 1996), Bir Kasabaya İki Deli Fazla, (Having Two Mad Men is too Much for a Town, 2001).

RESEARCH: Araçlı Şehit ve Gazi Atalarımızın Soy Kütüğü (The Family Records Of Our Ancestors Who were Martyrs or War Veterans from Araç, 1998), Kastamonu Yöresi Deyim ve Mânileri (Idioms and Folk Songs of the Kastamonu District, 2004).
