Poet and writer (b. 13 May 1954, Prizren / Kosovo - d. 13 September 1954, Prizren / Kosovo). He completed his primary and secondary education in Prizren. He has made valuable contributions to the Turkish culture of the Balkans. Since 1994 he has been the owner and head of the editorial department of the reviews BAY (Balkan Intellectuals and Writers - culture and art review), İnci (children’s review), Genç Bay (youth review) and Balkan (weekly political journal). He has organized the International Turkish Culture and Art Festival of the Balkans for many years and during these festivals he has given the BAY Special Awards to scientists and artists who have made contributions to Turkish culture and heritage in the Balkans.
He started his literary life with
poetry. Later he wrote stories, essays, critiques and interviews, which were
published in all the Turkish reviews and journals in Macedonia (former
Yugoslavia). His poems have been translated into Serbian, Croatian, Macedonian,
Albanian, Hungarian, Romanian and Italian. His articles have been published in
many reviews and journals in Turkey.
His literary works have been included
in various anthologies. Compiling anthologies from Turkish poets, Baymak has
helped those poets to become widely known. He has collected awards at many
literary contests in which he has participated.
