Researcher-writer. He was born in Karakocaş /
Şabanözü/ Çankırı (1965). He graduated from Ataturk Teachers’ High School and
He participated in the organization of Turkic World
Youth Assemblies. He worked as a general
president of World Turkic Youth Union which also organized those assemblies. He
is still among the honorary presidents of same institution. He worked as the
general secretary and president of Writers’ Union of Turkey since 2004. His
articles were published in journals and newspapers such as Türk Yurdu, Türk
Tarım, Bilig, Yesevi, Yeni Türkiye, Tercüman and Zaman.
He won an award in 2003 TYB City Books branch with his
work named Türkistan - Yesevi’nin Şehri Yesi’ye Dair. He wrote the scripts and provided
consultancy for many documentary films such as Asyanın Kandilleri, Gönül
Bağı, Türk Arap Atı, Yaylalarımız. He was the producer and script writer of the radio program Yesi
Ya da Türkistan ve Kültürümüz Edebiyatımız” which is published in six different
languages.
