Short-story
writer (b. 1923, İstanbul – d. 1 July, 1965). He graduated from the

He published his stories in the reviews Yenilik,
Varlık and Türk Dili. He did translations from
German and wrote radio dramas. He won the Award of Merit at the Turkish Radio
and Television Corporation’s 1970 Art Awards, the Turkish Language Association
1974 Short Story Award with his work Koca
Denizde İki Nokta (Two Points in The Huge Sea), the 1970 Sait Faik Story
Award with his book Direğin Tepesinde Bir
Adam (A Man At the Top of The Mast) and the 1994 Haldun Taner Story Award
with his book Derin Dondurucu İçin Öykü
(Story for the Deep Freeze). In addition, his novel and child’s books were
published.
