Bilge Ay

Poet, author, lawyer. He was born in Omsalar village / Ivrindi/ Balikesir on February 17, 1970. After completing Osmanlar Village Primary School and Bandırma Sehit Süleyman Bey Secondary School; he started his high school training at Balikesir Cumhuriyet High School and completed at Ivrindi High School. After graduating from Dokuz Eylul University, Faculty of Law; he began with his career as self-employed lawyer in Istanbul. He continued with his career at Edremit county of Balikesir since 2003. He is married to Meral Ay, and father of Mehmet Deniz.

His first poems were in Milliyet Sanat journal and 1989 Young Poets Anthology. In the following years, he published his poets in the journals of Sokak şarkıları, Dördüncü Yeni, Yeni binyıl şiir, Yaratı, Şehir, Sincan İstasyonu, Bireylikler, Her şeye Karşın, Ünlem, Yazılıkaya. He was the editor of literature journal “Sokak Şarkıları” (Izmir, 3 issues, 1996) which he published together with Hüseyin Köse.
