Researcher and writer (b. İstanbul, 1931 - d. 29 November 2011, Istanbul). He attended Van Secondary School and graduated from Haydarpaşa High School (1949) and İstanbul University, Faculty of Law (1953). He became an assistant at the same faculty. Then he received his PhD and went to Paris (1962), on his return, he became associate professor (1963).
He gave lessons on
the history of civilization at his faculty, at Şişli School of Political
Sciences and at İstanbul Fine Arts Academy. On being injured by terrorists in
1978, he was treated abroad for a long time.
His articles and poetry were
published in magazines such as Sanat
Emeği and Milliyet Sanat. He received the Cavit
Orhan Tütengil Social Award with of his book Uygarlık Tarihi
(History of Civilization) by the Association of University Lecturers (1980). He
worked as a lecturer at Strasbourg University from 1981.
