Poet and writer (b. 2 November 1927, Konya – d. 11 April 2003, İstanbul). His real name was Gültekin Samancı. He graduated from Kuleli Military High School (1947) and the Military Academy (1949). After he had served as an officer of army ordinance procurement in various locations, he began to work for the Ministry of Tourism where he worked as an advisor and director of publications (1960). He worked as a deputy director general for six years in the Press Advertisement Association beginning from its foundation and director general for thirty years.

His first poem, O Kadın (That Woman), was published in the review, Çınaraltı in 1948. He became one of the poets of the review Hisar from1959. His poems were published mostly in this review and in Çınaraltı, Türk Dili, Çağrı, Elif, Türk Yurdu and Türk Edebiyatı. His grave is in Karacaahmet Graveyard. He married Müzeyyen Samancı and had a son named Cüneyt Samancı and a daughter named Gülay Pertez.
