Researcher and writer (b. 28 November 1954, Ankara – d. 18 December 2002, Ankara). He graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences, School of Press and Publication (1977). After working as a press counselor at various organizations for years, he completed his master and doctorate studies at the Institute of Turkish History of Revolution at Ankara University. He gave lectures on the principles of Atatürk and history of revolution for twenty years. He was assassinated at the end the year 2002; however, the perpetrators have not been identified.

He studied the near history of the Turkic communities outside Turkey. He made visits to work on Turkish regions in the Balkans and Central Europe, Turkish minorities and war cemeteries for purposes of research. He worked in Moscow between 1995 and 1996 as the counselor in the activities of the Gagauz Turks to shift to the Latin alphabet, which was a project of the UNDP under the UN. A part of his research on the teachers charged by Atatürk to go abroad was published with the title Kemal'in Öğretmenleri (Teachers of Kemal).

He published numerous articles on Turkic groups outside Turkey, especially on Crimean Turks. Hablemitoğlu, himself a Crimean Turk in origin, had a rich archive of İsmail Gaspiralı, one of the outstanding figures of the Crimean Turks in history. Besides, he made researches on illegal organizations and German foundations operating in Turkey and abroad, and on the law of foundations included in the adaptation laws of the European Union, and participated in several panels and symposiums on these topics at home and abroad. His wife is Associate Prof. Dr. Songül Hablemitoğlu. He had two daughters named Kanije and Uyvar.
