Hasan Öztoprak

Poet and writer (b. 17 December 1957, İstanbul). Besides his real name, he also used the pen name Hasan Sabri in his poems. He attended İstanbul Vatan High School and graduated from the Şişli School of Political Sciences. He published the reviews Düşler and Göçebe with his friends. He was accused of being a member and administrator of the Communist Party of Turkey, at a time when the party was illegal and was thus arrested several times. He edited the cultural and literary review E, published by Gendaş Publications.

His first poem was published in the review Yönelişler under the pen name Hasan Sabri in 1984. His later poems and articles were published in the reviews Yönelişler, Düşler, Göçebe, Gösteri and E.
