Novelist. He was born in
Istanbul in
1960. The author is an expert of AIKIDO with Hakama, and he lived and pursued
his works in Istanbul.
Başar Akşan is one the representatives of “Minimalist novel”, and he began with
his career by writing Savaş Alanı
(2004) which is the first novel in Turkish literature that covers stock market
and the circles in stock exchange. No detailed information can be found about
his life, there are no pictures of him and it is being said that he has written
around four hundred novels between the years 2004 and 2009. Başar Akşan reveals
the modern American life with an internal perspective in some of his novels. A
new and unknown America
appears for us. Especially his novel named “5” gives the reader a different
observation and opinion about America
and the American people.
