Novelist (b. 1871, İstanbul – d. 3 December 1939). His real name was
Ömer Lütfi. After he was educated at Galatasaray High School for a while, he
worked as a jeweler in the Grand Bazaar in İstanbul. At the end of a rather
indulgent, irregular life, he died at Bakırköy Mental Hospital. He is known for
his novel, Zavallı Necdet (Poor
Necdet), a sad love adventure. His articles, novel and stories were published
in the newspaper and reviews, İkdam,
Servet-i Fünûn, Malumat.

Marriage, 1903), Hamzad (Pure Born,
1909), Müessib (Responsible, 1911).
In addition, he
wrote a play titled, İzah ve İstizah (Explanation and Interrogation, 1911)
in which he satirized the period’s National Assembly.
