Poet (b. 27 May 1922, Pazar /
Rize). He attended Vefa High School and graduated from İstanbul Teacher
Training School, Department of Mathematics and Astronomy (1945). He worked as
teacher in Ankara, as the Director of National Education in Balıkesir and
Necati Bey Institute of Education. He studied on education in the United
States, France and United Kingdom where he was sent by the state (1954-57).
After returning to Ankara, he
kept working as a teacher in formal schools and in the State Conservatory. His
poems, written in the style of the Second
New movement, appeared in the reviews İstanbul and Varlık
(1950-71) as of 1943. He received the first rank in the Cyprus Legend
Competition of the newspaper Hürriyet in 1974.
