Industrialist, businessman, politician congressman, minister (B. 1939, İstanbul-
D. 6 July, 2008, Istanbul). His full name is Mehmet Ersin Faralyalı. He is the
father of Ahmet Faralyalı who is Turkey Representative of International Investment
Fund (KKR) and Serdar Faralyalı who is known with his projects on information
sector; and father in law of Begümhan Doğan Faralyalı who is Vice President of
Doğan Broadcast Holding and Ebru Ansel.
He graduated from Izmir Ege University School of Economics. He was
elected as Head of Administrative Board of Ege Chamber of Industry. He became
the President of TOBB. He was elected as congressman of 19th Term of
Izmir from True Path Party. He was the Minister of Energy and Natural Sources
during the 49th Government. He contributed to establish of free
zones in Turkey. He passed away in Istanbul in 6 July 2008. He was married and
had two kids.
