Poet and writer (b. 1925, Avanos / Nevşehir – d. 16 August 2001, İstanbul). He completed his primary education in Avanos and elementary in Yozgat. He graduated from İstanbul University, Faculty of Letters, Department of Turkish Language and Literature (1952). He worked at the Press and Tourism Directorate, News Department after having worked as a teacher for a time. He studied Swiss Language and Literature in Swiss where he settled in 1968. He worked as a translator for a time (1972- 77). He was an instructor of Turkish at Stockholm University (1978- 90). He retired in 1990.

His poetry has been published in the reviews Yedigün, Yeditepe, Dost, Türk Dili and Varlık since 1990. He won Turan Dursun Study-Research Award that was held by the review Aydınlık in 2000 with his book Tanrıları Nasıl Yarattık (How Did We Create the Gods?). He is buried in Ankara.
