Writer (b. 1943, Niğde). He has used the pen names Ayşe Atlanç, Dr. Hikmet Ferda, Güliz Arda, Mehmet Atılgan, Mehmet Selim, Mustafa Santafe and Zahit Beğen.  He was unable to finish his higher education because he was exiled as a result of his political actions. He has worked for various journals, newspapers and advertisement agencies.

His articles and critiques were published in journals Gençlik ve Oyun (1961-63) where he worked, Oturum (manager, 1964), Türk Solu (1968), Gerçek (one of the founders, 1967), Gelecek (1971), Yansıma (1972) and in newspaper Yeni Ortam (1972).  He is known for his efforts in developing criticism based on Marxist theory.

ESSAY-RESEARCH: Eğitim Sorunlarımız (Our Education Problems, 1964), Nazım Hikmet Üzerine (On Nazım Hikmet, 1967), Yazdık Nazım Diye Diye (We Wrote Saying Nazım, with Günel Altıntaş, anthology, 1974), Nazım Hikmet'in Oyun Yazarlığı (The Playwriting of Nazım Hikmet, 1995).

POETRY: Zaman Aynası (Time Mirror, 1980).

NOVEL: Filler Mezarlığı (Elephants Cemetery, 1991).
