Poet (b. 1 November 1939,
Esrik Village / Tovuz / Azerbaijan). He attended primary and secondary school
in his village (1957), graduated from Baku State University (1964). Then he
completed higher literature studies for two-year in Moscow (1975). He worked as
a club headmaster at his village (1960-64), as a newspaper correspondent in
Ağıstafa district (1964-65), as a head redactor at Azerbaijan radio and
Television Corporation (1965-73), as a correspondent at Edebiyat newspaper which was published in Baku (1975-76), as a head
redactor at Azerbaijan Cinema Studios (1976-80), as chief at Işık Kitap
Publication House (1980-87), as a head redactor at Gençlik review in Azeri and Molodost
Review in Russian (1982-87), as chief-in-general at Baku Radio and Television
Corporation (1925-93), and since 1991 he has worked as secretary at Writers
Union of Azerbaijan. Since 1996 he has been an academician in Çanakkale 18 Mart
University.
His first poem “Dağlar” (Mountains) was published in Hakikat Newspaper in 1956. Other works

Yeni Düşünce, Ortadoğu newspaper and reviews of Azerbaijan some of that is
in Azeri and some of that is in Russian. In 1969 he collected Journalist Union
of Azerbaijan Golden Pen Award because of his success in TV serial called Odlar Diyarı (Land of Fire), Youth Union
of Azerbaijan award with his poetry book called Söz Zamanına Çeker (Word Pulls its Time), Youth Award Soviet Union
with his poem book called Denizler
Üzerinde Ekin (Crop on the Seas). From 1990 to 1996 he was awarded golden
medals six times in the Feast of Poets in Konya. He collected championship
award in the poem competition of Holy Birth Week that was organized by Turkish
Religious Affairs Association because of anniversary of birth of the Prophet
Muhammad. He is a member of Writers Union of Azerbaijan.
