Poet and writer. He was born in Adana on April 2, 1959. His last name on his identity card is Ağaçcıoğlu. He graduated from Middle Eastern Technical University Sociology Department (1986). He chose to be a journalist and worked in Aydınlık newspaper between 1995 and 2002. In 2002, he was elected as the general director of Literary Society. He continued with his studies in Ankara.

His first literature work was published in Somut magazine in 1979, in the following years, his poems and critics were published in Edebiyat ve Eleştiri, Somut, Yapıt, Küçücük, Yusufcuk, Dönemeç, Sesimiz, Oluşum, Türkiye Yazı­ları, Nitelik, Yarın, Yaşantı, Barış magazines and newspapers. Also, he was the editor of Yeni Olgu (1981-85) and Varoş (1994-96) periodical publishing.
