Poet and writer. He was born on January 25, 1959 in Bodrum / Mugla. He completed Bodrum Akçaalan Primary School, Bodrum Turgutreis Secondary School (1972), Izmir Mithatpaşa Industrial Occupation High School (1975) and Ankara Higher Technical Teachers’ School (1979). He worked as a technical teacher at Samsun, Yozgat Akdağmadeni and Izmir Industrial Occupational High Schools. He was retired in 2003. He continued with his works in Izmir.
Atilla wrote poems, stories and children’s literature and his poems were published in journals such as Milliyet Sanat, Aydınca, Düşlem, Kıyı, Dize, Damar, Bir, Yeni Biçem, Yaşasın Edebiyat, Bahçe, Varlık and Kum from 1984 onwards. His stories were published in journals such as Fayton, Üçüncü Öyküler, Adam Öykü and Ünlem. He received the second degree in Tariş Literature Awards story branch (1993), second degree in Kıyı Journal Column Contest (1995), first degree in Mevlüt Kaplan Children’s Stories Contest (1996) and Leyla Erbil Story Award (2000) and Bilgi Publishing e-book Story Award (2002) at Ankara Story Days. He received special awards in Edip Cansever Poetry Contest (1996) and Arkadaş Z. Ozger Poetry Award (1999).
