Aykut Edibali

Politician, autho (d.  13th of April 1942 in Sandıklı / Afyon - d. 13 January 2022, Ankara).. He graduated from Afyon Dumlupınar Primary School (1953), Afyon Secondary School (1956), Afyon High School (1959), and Istanbul University Law Faculty. He established in 1986 Strugglers’ Union Association with his friends and leaded movements of thought and youth around this association. In 1970 he established Otağ Yayınevi ve Matbaacılık (T.N. Publications and Printing ) facilities. In the same year he published the weekly Yeniden Millî Mücadele magazine and in 1973 the quarterly research-analysis magazine Gerçek and weekly culture-arts-literature magazine Pınar. In March 1975 he bought Yeni Ortam Newspaper and Printing Facilities and issued Bayrak newspaper. The newspaper, which was published on a daily basis for four years, later was published weekly (1979). In the following years he continued to work as founder, associate and consultant in various fields such as publishing, advertisement, education.

On the 24th of March 1984 he founded Islahatçı Demokrasi Party with some of his friends and undertook the party leadership. In 1991 he took part in the trio-coalition of Refah Party, Milliyetçi Çalışma Party and Islahatçı Demokrasi Party. He entered TBMM as a parliament member from Kayseri in the 19th period. In the second ordinary congress of Islahatçı Demokrasi Party (23 November 1992) Birlik Barış Party, Bayrak Party and Millet Party joined IDP. The name of the new party was Millet Party and its party leader Aykut Edibali. He wrote many articles of research and analysis aside from his leading articles in newspapers and magazines he published.
