Şaban Ali Düzgün

Graduated from Divinity Faculty, Ankara University in 1989, I prepared my MA thesis on Sayyid Ahmet Khan and His Intellectual Modernity. I studied my thesis at The School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), London.

I obtained my PhD from Ankara University. My dissertation was on a comparative study between Muslim Theologians and Philosophers on God-World Relations.

In the academic year 1999-2000 I lectured in Gregorian University, Rome.

I was visiting fellow in Woodstock Theological Center, Georgetown University, Washington, DC in the academic year of 2003-2004.

As a Fulbright Scholar I taught in Birmingham Southern College in 2007.

I was a lecturer in International Ahmad Yasawi Turk-Kazakh University in Kazakhistan.

I taught the courses of Systematic Theology; Maturidi Theology in Divinity Faculty and of Political Theories in Islamic Thought in the department of Political Sciences and International Relations in TOBB-ETU and Social Sciences University, Ankara.

I was the co-editor of Journal of Divinity Faculty of Ankara Univ. for six years. I am the founder-editor of online Journal of Theological Studies (KADER).

I chaired English Theology Department in Ankara University for two years and now I am head of Theology Department in Ankara University.
