Poet (b. 1884, Trabzon
- d. 11 May 1948, İstanbul). He graduated from Trabzon High School (1902). He
served as a teacher of Turkish and history in Trabzon for a long time then he
became a teacher of history in İstanbul where in 1928, he settled and served as
a teacher of literature at İstanbul Advanced Commercial School.
He is regarded as the
final poet of Divan*, especially with his collected works, which
consisted of lyrical poems in the Nedim style. Besides being a teacher, he was
also a member of various organizations such as the Ottoman History Council, the
Trabzon Turkish Guild and the Trabzon Board of Education.
