Poet (b. ?, Mardin). He attended primary school in Mardin, and secondary and high schools in Elazığ. He graduated from İstanbul University, Faculty of Economy, Department of Econometrics (1986). He still works at a private company in İstanbul. His first poems which were not included in his books were published in the review Muştu. Later on, he was recognized with his poems published in the reviews Diriliş, Yönelişler, Yedi İklim, Şiir Atı and on the art pages of the newspaper Yeni Devir.

In 1993, he published a review called Bürde, together with his friends. Besides of his own poems and articles, he has been famous for his translations of poems and novels from Arabian literature. He translated the Divan* of Hassan b. Sabit, who is one of the great poets of classical Arab poetry and known as the Poet of Prophet; and some poems of Egyptian poet Ahmet Şevki into Turkish.

POETRY: Keşifler (Discoveries, 1983), Ölümden Önceki Sözler (Words Before Death, 1986), Yolcunun Gözleri Parlıyor (The Eyes of Passenger are Shining, 1989), Bindörtyüzondokuz (Fourteen-nineteen, 1999).

Besides, he made translations from the Arabian literature.
