Tekin Gönenç
Poet (b. 8 March 1933, Yıldızeli / Sivas - d. 18 May 2020, İstanbul). He graduated from Sivas High School (1950) and Istanbul University, Faculty of Pharmacy (1955). He worked in scientific and vocational studies in various institutions in Turkey and abroad. He has been working as consultant in İstanbul since 1989.
His first poem “Tüme Varım” (Induction) was published in the review Varlık (1 July 1955). Later, his poems, researches and studies were published in the reviews Varlık, Öküz and Milliyet Sanat and in the art pages of various newspapers. Some of his poems were translated into Macedonian and English. He was a member of Pen Association of Writers, the Turkish Authors Association and the Language Society.
