Poet and writer (b. 1887, İstanbul – d. 12 May 1919). Attending Gülhane Military Secondary School, Galatasaray High School and the School of Law, he completed his education (1913). He joined the Union and Progress Party and served in the food supply division during World War I. He gave up working as a civil servant after a while and devoted his time to literary studies. His grave is on Büyükada, İstanbul
His first poem appeared in the magazine Çocuk Bahçesi (1905) in Thessalonica. After he joined the “Dawn of the New Age Society”, his poems and articles concerning theatre were published in the magazine Servet-i Fünûn. His last poems appeared in the magazines Şair (1918) and Nedim (1919). His poems and plays that were influenced by Ahmet Haşim were not particularly successful. Some of his poems were set to music.

The last two plays were adapted from French.
