Mustafa Koç
Businessman. He was born in Istanbul in 1960. President of Koç Holding A.Ş. Construction and Mine Group. Full names Mustafa Vehbi Koç. He is the son of Rahmi Mustafa Koç, the Chairman of Koç Holding, the grandson of famous industrialist Vehbi Koç (1901-1996) and Sadberk Koç (1908-1973). He completed his higher education in Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz (1980) in Switzerland, and in George Washington University (1984) in USA.
He started his career between 1984 and 1986 as a TOFAŞ automobile sales representative. He worked as Kofisa Trading Co. Geneve Sales Manager between 1986 and 1989. Then he became Deputy General Manager in Ram Dış Ticaret A.Ş. between 1989 and 1992. He worked as vice chairman of Koç Holding A.Ş. Industry-Energy-Commerce Companies between 1992- and 1994, and as the chairman of the same companies after 1996.
Mustafa Koç, who speaks fluent English and German, and has golf, horse-riding, aviation and scuba among his hobbies; is a member of Bilderberg Board of Directors, Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, TÜSİAD, Young Presidents Organization, Istanbul Golf Club (Chairman), 1907 FB Club (Founder) and EastWest Institute.
