Poet and writer (b. 7 December 1948, Akçadağ / Malatya). He graduated from Turan Emeksiz High School (1968) and Luneburg Vocational School, Department of Social Information (1983). He worked as a teacher in his village and Hekimhan (1970- 72) and as a laboratory assistant in a chemical factory in Munster, Germany (1977- 83). Afterwards, he worked as a broadcast pedagogue and broadcasting director at a local radio (1983).
His first poem was published in the newspaper Gayret (Malatya) in 1963. Afterwards his work was published in the reviews and newspapers Cumhuriyet Hafta, Yeni Evrensel, İnsancıl, ABC, Berfin-Bahar, Yaban El, Yeni Posta, Mozaik (Germany), Die Brücke (Germany). His books İki Değirmen Taşı (Two Mill Stones) and Kiraz Dalı (Cherry Branch) were translated into German. His poems were praised at the 1996 İbrahim Yıldız Poetry Award organized by the review Kıyı. He came third in the poetry competitions held by the review Alevilerin Sesi, the Stuttgart Culture Department and the newspaper Yenigün in 2000.
