
Mehmet Pamak
Investigative-writer, politician. He contributed to publishing of Ülkücü Kadro magazine during the second half of 1970s. While he was working in Ministry of Treasure, after September 12, 1980, he entered to Advisory Council as member. He was known with his opponent behaviors in here. In July 7, 1983, he established Muhafazakar Party (MP) with Ali Koç, Amet Karaca, M. Kazım İlkhan, Ahmet Ersen, Kemalettin Toros, Kami Özden, Ahmet Özsoy and Sabattin Çankaya. He became the general director of this party which aimed to gather all Turkish patriots under it. During the First Grand Congress in November 30, 1985, MP changed its name and became PLP (Nationalist Labor Party) and during the 4th Extraordinary Congress PLP changed its name in to NAP (Nationalist Action Party). During the same congress three crescents were selected as the symbol of the party.
Later he left the ‘National Conservatism’ and turn in to a pure Muslim way. He wrote a critic which blames Turkism with nationalism in Zaman journal. He worked as president of Scholarly Researches Foundation (SRF), MAZLUM-DER. In May 31/ 2006, he was taken in to custody in Essen, Germany, where he went to attend to a panel of HDR as speakperson. Same year, an investigation was opened about him because of his book titled Kemalizm, Laiklik ve Şehitlik.
