Poet and writer (b. 1919, İzmir). He attended İstanbul High School for Boys and graduated from Ankara Gazi Institute of Education Department of Literature (1944). He worked as a Turkish, literature and English teacher and principal at the secondary and high schools in Zonguldak, Eskişehir, Urfa, Sivas, Gaziantep and Bolu. He worked at the Libraries Directorate in Ankara. His poetry, which was initially faithful to the tradition of folk poetry but later incorporated new trends, was published in the reviews Kaynak, Dost, Çağrı, Türk Dili, Varlık from 1934.

POETRY: Samanyolu (The Milky Way, 1942), Anzelha (Anzelha, 1955), Kasım Rüzgârı (November Wind, 1955), Destan Türk (Epic Turk, 1973), Altın Günlerin Eşiğinde (On the Verge Of the Golden Days, 1976).

OTHER WORKS: Burası Sınır Şehri Gaziantep (Here is the Border City Gaziantep), Al Gelinciğin Masalı (The Story of the White Poppy), Öğretmen Şiirleri Antolojisi (Anthology of Poems on Teachers).
