Novelist and translator (b. 17 July 1967, Tarsus / İçel). His full name is Halil Gökhan Yiğitler. He attended primary and secondary school in Balıkesir and the Bursa Işıklar High School and graduated from Ankara Military School in 1989. He joined the Military Land Forces and worked as gunnery officer for eight years. Then he worked as a project director and editor at Internet organizations in İstanbul.

His poems, short stories and translations have been published in the magazines Varlık, Kitaplık, Gösteri and in similar magazines and in the supplement Cumhuriyet Kitap since 1989. He has translated from world literature. With his works, he received the an honorary mention at the Abdi İpekçi Love Story Competition in 1992, the second prize at the Orhan Murat Arıburnu Utopia of Cinema Competition in 1993 and has won the Yaşar Nabi Nayır and Orhan Murat Arıburnu Poetry Awards.

COLLECTION: Türk Edebiyatında Paris (Paris in Turkish Literature, in collaboration with T. Mohuidine, 2000), Aldatma Öyküleri (Stories of Deception, 2003).

He has also translated from English.
