Writer (b. 28 March 1866, İstanbul - d. 1944, İstanbul). Her surname was Önasya. She also used the pen name Emine Vahide. She was the daughter of the historian and politician Ahmet Cevdet Paşa and sister of Fatma Aliye Hanım, the novelist. In her youth she received private education and also studied psychology and sociology in France and Switzerland.

From 1882, she worked as a teacher in İstanbul and Anatolia, as an inspector of girls’ schools and an assistant nurse at Şişli Etfal Hospital. Her articles on politics and education were published in the newspapers Mütalaa (Thessalonica) and Hanımlara Mahsus Gazete after the declaration of the Constitutional Monarchy. She also prepared a mathematics textbook.
