Researcher and writer (b. 19 January 1955, Dereköy / Eşme / Uşak). He attended the Dereköy Primary School (1966), Konya İmam-Hatip High School (1973) and graduated from Erzurum Atatürk University Faculty of Literature, Department of English Language and Literature (1977). He worked as English teacher at Uşak İmam-Hatip High School (1977-79) and at Eşme High School (1979); as an English instructor at Adapazarı State Academy of Engineering and Architecture (1980), as a reserve officer teacher in Kuleli Military High School (1981), as a writer, translator and editor at İnsan Publications (1982-86); as an English teacher at Eşme İmam-Hatip High School (1986-88) and Turgutlu Private Gündüzalp High School (1988-93) and as a writer, translator and editor at İzmir Nil Publications (1993). He has been working as a researcher and writer for the newspaper Zaman since 1996.
His first translation was published in 1976 in the review Düşünce and his other works and translations have been published in reviews and newspapers such as Talebe, Düşünce, Millî Gazete, Yeni Devir, Sebil, Şura, Tevhid, Hicret, Zaman, Sızıntı, Yeni Ümit, The Fountain, Aksiyon, Girişim, Kitap.
