Poet and writer (B. 1787, Yozgat - D. 1845, Alexandria). He was raised with a private education in his hometown. He was working as a Divan Stenographer next to Cebbarzade Süleyman Bey, after his death, he went to Istanbul. He engaged Sultan’s attention in a short time and had important community duties. He worked as Foreign Affairs Minister (1835-36) and Minister of Interior with the title of Vizier. In 1845, while he was coming back from Hajj, he got sick and died in Alexandria.
Literature historians have different opinions on the issue whether his works bring up anything new or not to the Turkish literature. He is famous with Adem Kasidesi and Mersiye, he wrote in syllabic meter for his grandson/daughter’s death. He was counted as one of the latest divan literature writers with his prose..
