Poet and writer (b. 3 August 1923, Erzincan). His real name is Ali Nevzat Odyakmaz; he has used various pen names in his works, such as A. Nevzad Odyakmaz, Nevzad Sudi, Nevzad Sudioğlu and Nazım Sılanoğlu. He attended İstanbul Çapa Practical Primary Schoool, Pertevniyal High School (elementary level), Vefa High School; and graduated from İstanbul University, Faculty of Law. He worked as a judge in Edirne, Lalapaşa and Aşkale (1953-62); as assistant prosecutor and attorney general in Espiye, Adapazarı, Bilecik and Balıkesir (1962-82), as a member of the court of appeal (1982-86), as a member of the Supreme Board of Judges and Prosecutors (1982-86) and then he officially retired. After his retirement, he gave lectures at Marmara University, Institute of Social Sciences (1990-99).

His first poem was published in the review Yeni Ses (Birinci Kânun - First Code, 1939). His other poems and short stories were published in reviews such as Yurd, Yeni Ses, Küllük, İnsan, Yenilik, Karşı, Kıyı, Türk Dili, Çağdaş Türk Dili and Güzel Yazılar, with the pen names mentioned above. He is a member of the Language Society, the Turkish Authors Association and the Writers Syndicate of Turkey.

POETRY: Üç Yön (Three Direc–tions, 1958), Kuşliman (Bird Harbour, 1984), Elleri Bir Etmeli (We Should Join Hands, 1985), Şiir Çıkartması (Transfer of Poetry, 1988), Öte Yaz (Sing Slightly, selected poems, 1992), Zaman Ey Düş (Time, Oh Dream; new poems along with the poems from his books Three Directions, Bird Harbour, Transfer of Poetry and Sing Slightly, 2002).

MEMOIR: Küllük Anıları (Ashtray Memoirs, 1987).

RESEARCH-STUDY: Güzel ve Kolay Yazma Sanatı (The Art of Beautiful and Easy Writing, 1957), Resimli Büyük Mucitler (Great Inventors with Pictures, 1961), Resimli Büyük Kâşifler (Great Explorers with Pictures, 1963), Görgü Ansiklopedisi (Encyclopedia of Good Manners, 1963), Resimli Hayvanlar Dünyası (The World of Animals with Pictures, 1964), Çocuklar ve Gençler İçin Çağdaş Görgü (Contemporary Good Manners for Children and the Young, 1976), Görgü Kuralları (Rules of Good Manners, 1976), Bektaşilik  Mevlevilik  Masonluk (Bektashi and Mevlevi Doctrine and Freemasonry, 1988).

Besides these, he wrote over twenty books about law.
