Tevfik Çavdar

Researcher and writer. (B. 1931, İzmir – D. 16 October 2012). After he completed his education in Adana High School for Boys (1948) he went to Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Construction for a while. Then he graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Economy (1952). He worked as specialist in State Statistic Institute (1954-72) and State Planning Institution (1972). He worked as lecturer in Turkey and Middle East Public administration Institution and as consultant in unions. After he was retired, he interested in politics for a while. He made researches about history, sociology, education, statistic and economy and also he wrote critics and examination papers in literature field. He published Yazın Dergisi (1981-82, 7 issue) with his friends.

His examinations and critics were published in Yeditepe, Pazar Postası, Dost ve Yazın Dergisi. He won 1970 Karacan Gift organized by Milliyet newspaper, with his work Millî Mücadele Başlarken Vaziyet ve Manzara-i Umumiye.
