Minstrel (b. 1893 – d. April 1918). His original name is Recep. He educated at madrasah and worked as a farmer and village imam. He was martyred by Armenians during the recapture of Kars region from Russians when he was twenty-five years. The elegy that he sang for the death of his cousin Ziyade is his most famous poem. His nearly 30 poems were collected in the book Kağızmanlı Hıfzı (by M. Zahir Baranseli, 1968).
