     Theologian and folk poet (b. ? - d. ?). Sources indicate that he lived in the 13th century. He was one of the first poets to write in Turkish in Anatolia before Yunus Emre. Besides his poems in prosodic meter, where he used Arabian and Persian words, he also wrote didactic poems with a theosophical approach. He was introduced to the academic world by Prof. Fuad Köprülü (1922).

His couplet poem Yusuf ve Züleyha (Yusuf and Züleyha), written in Eastern Turkish and 11 poems found amongst his works were published by Dehri Dilçin (Turkish Language Association Publication, 1946). In addition to this he wrote another couplet poem with the title Hâzâ Dastân-ı Sultan Mahmud (The Epic of Sultan Mahmud) in which he depicts a discussion between Gazneli Mahmud and a poor dervish.
