Journalist
and writer (b. 1937, İstanbul). He attended primary and secondary school in
İstanbul and graduated from the Istanbul Faculty of Press and Journalism. The
articles that he wrote in youth were published in the reviews Yelken, Durum, Sanatkâr and Büyük Doğu. He continued his career as a
journalist, which he began as a trainee reporter on the newspaper Tercüman (1956), in Babıalide Sabah, Bugün, Son Havadis, Tercüman, Zaman, Yeni İstanbul.
He
has started new direction in his novels in recent years. The film that Mesut
Uçakan adapted from his novel Yalnız
Değilsiniz (You Are Not Alone) aroused great interest. He was a member of
the Repertoire Committee of İstanbul City Theatres. Üstün İnanç, who has also
worked as a dramaturge for Türkiye Newspaper Radio and Television Corporation,
wrote the screenplay for the film Kanayan
Yara Bosna (The Bleeding Wound, Bosnia). He has also worked as a teacher
besides being a director at İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
