Researcher, folklore researcher (b. 1946, Kirkuk / Iraq). After completing his primary and elementary education, he came to Turkey. He graduated from the Istanbul Academy of Fine Arts, Department of Advanced Architecture (1974) (now Mimar Sinan University). He worked at various institutions and organizations as a specialist in historical environment protection. He completed his PhD thesis “Kerkük Kenti ve Ev Mimarisi” (City of Kirkuk and House Architecture) at İstanbul Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Restoration in 1992. He became an associate professor in 1994. He was appointed as an academician to the Training School of Mimar Sinan University, Architecture Restoration Department. He was made Head of the Department in 1997 and of the Training School in 2002. He became a professor in same year. He has written many papers, which have been submitted to national and international symposiums and has had research and study papers published.
