Military
man (b. 3 January 1925, Tokat). A retired lieutenant general, he is the cousin
of the former Prime Minister Ferit Melek. He graduated from Kuleli Military
High School and the Land Forces Academy. He served as the Commander of Martial
Law in Diyarbakır and the surrounding region, General Staff Captain of
Intelligence, lecturer on the history of war, geopolitics and military
geography at the Military Academy, Military Attaché in Bucharest and retired in
1992. He is an honorary member of the Professional Association of Scientific and Literary Work Owners of
Turkey and a member of the Atatürk Research Center.
