Poet (b. 1950, İzmir). He graduated from İzmir Atatürk High School. He did his master’s at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Social and Administrative Sciences, Department of French Language and Literature. He has worked as an academician at Ege University, Department of French Language and Literature since 1976.

His first poem was published in Demokrat İzmir in 1971. He has had his poems published in reviews such as Türk Dili, Dönemeç, Varlık, Sanat Olayı, geceyazısı, kitap-lık. He collected the Halil Kocagöz Poetry Award with his work Bulvar Resimleri (Pictures on the Avenue) in 1987 and the Cemal Süreya Poetry Award in 1997 with his poem Sevda Adıyla (In the Name of Love).
