Eflâki Dede

Poet

Poet (B. ? – D. 1359, Konya). He is the son of a worker named Ahi Natur. He engaged various knowledge especially astronomy during his youth days and he received the pseudonym of Eflaki. He was the dervish and friend of Mevlana’s grandson Ulu Arif Çelebi. He has described the lives of famous mystics in his Persian work Menakıb-ül-ârifin.
