Poet and writer (B. 1931, Emir village / Varna / Bulgaria
– D. 1982, Istanbul). He also used the pseudonym Ishak Raşidov. After
graduating from Razgrat Turkish Teachers’ School, he went to school in Baku for
one year. Then he returned to Bulgaria and became one of the first students of
Turcology Subdivision at Sofia University.
During his years as a student, he started to work at
the Turkey section of Sofia radio. In the following years, he worked at Halk Gençliği newspaper and Halk Eğitimi
Publishing House. He came to Turkey in 1969 as a tourist and stayed. He taught
Turkish language and literature at the high schools in Istanbul for a while.
