“Güney Dal has began with his literature career by using a
social-realist perspective; and in his maturity years he was transformed into a
“master of form” by using postmodern aesthetics. In his latest novel, Dal
continues with his search for new forms. Zoom effects is established by the
words “boxing” and “love”, with its trivial atmosphere and he builds them with
the cultural values of 20s. He transforms his text into a “Zeitroman” that lies
from the Ottoman spirit to technology fetishism.” (Yıldız Ecevit)
