Novelist (b. 1920 - d. 7 June 1979, İstanbul). He graduated from Ankara
High School for Boys (1939). He left İstanbul University, Faculty of Law
without finishing his studies. He started to work as journalist for the review Yeni
Sabah (1941). After completing his military service, he worked as a writer,
clerk and writing director for reviews and children’s reviews such as Türkiye
Yayınevi (1946), Yıldız, Hafta, Posta and Çocuk Haftası.
His poems, interviews, critiques, review
articles and other children stories were published in reviews and newspapers
such as Yavrukurt, Çınaraltı (1941), Kovan (1943), Yarımay
and Yeni Sabah after 1936. He became famous for his adventure novels on
love and history. His novels, some of which were serialized in newspapers,
number over 40.
