Historian (b. 1898, Elbistan / Kahramanmaraş - d. 22 December, 1961,
İstanbul). He graduated from Istanbul
University Faculty of
Literature Department of History and the School for Civil Servants. He studied
in Paris for a
while. After his return, he became a lecturer in the Faculty of Literature,
Department of History. He was famous for his research in the field of Turkish
and Islamic history and was one of the founder members of Turkish Historical
Society.
