Poet and writer (b. 5 June 1924, Eskibağlar / Gümüşhane). He attended Kelkit Cumhuriyet Primary School, İstanbul Teacher Training School of Boys (1944) and graduated from the İstanbul Çapa Institute of Education (1959). He started teaching in 1940 and worked as a Turkish and Literature Teacher in Gümüşhane, Western Thrace, Sürmene and at some schools in İstanbul. When he was a literature teacher at Suadiye High School, he retired from teaching.

His first poem named Ağlama (Don’t Cry) was published in İstanbul magazine in 1943, and then his essays and poems were published in the magazines Türk Dili, Beşinci Mevsim, Ozanca, Saçak, Kıyı, Güzel Yazılar, Şiir Ülkesi and in the newspapers Zafer, Cumhuriyet, Milliyet, Kuşakkaya and Kadıköy Aktüalite.

Some of his poems and essays featured in schoolbooks and he continued to publish his essays, stories, and poems in İstanbul in Kuşakkaya newspaper and in magazines.

He has also written study books and an unpublished novel named Gülkız (Rose Girl).
