Poet
(b. ? - d. 1564, Kütahya). According to some sources, his real name was Ali or
Mehmed Fazli and he was a member of the Halvetiye dervish order. He was
supported by the famous poet of the time, Zati. He inspired Kanuni Sultan
Süleyman with the eulogy he read at the circumcision party of the Şehzade
(Sultan's son) Mehmet. After this event, he served as the clerk of the councils
of Şehzade Mehmet, Mustafa and Selim. In the reign of Süleyman, his last office
