Scholar,
theosopher (b. ?, Ankara – d. 1451, Gelibolu / Çanakkale). There is not
enough information on his life. It is estimated that he and his brother Ahmet
Bican were educated by their father Yazıcı Salih Efendi who was an intellectual
person. His deep knowledge of Arabian and Persian, hadi*, Islamic theology,
canon law and theosophy shows that he had well educated. It is known that he
was guided by the great theosopher of era Hacı Bayram-ı Veli, was caliph of him
and there were a lodge of him in Gelibolu. In Evliya Çelebi’s Seyahatname (Book
of the Travels), his monastery is mentioned with praise. Yazıcızâde brothers

his works in his “suffering house”, which is still present. His first work Megaribü'z-Zeman (Sunsets of the Time)
is in Arabian. His second work Muhammediye
