Lisans (Hacettepe Üniversitesi, 1990), yüksek lisans (University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, 1996) ve doktora (Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi, 2003) eğitimlerini tamamladı. Doktora tezi: "Proteome Analyses of Pb(II), Ni(II) and Cr(III) Response in Phanerochaete chrysosporium." (2003).
